Job Title:                        Deputy Sheriff

Salary:                            $39,500 (Depends on experience)

Position Description:  Patrols assigned area and responds to calls and complaints. Investigates, collects evidence, and secures site of crime or accident until assistance arrives. Completes reports, etc. Provides security for transport of prisoners, court proceedings and special events. Serves warrants and civil papers as required. Performs other law enforcement duties as assigned.

Requirements: Must be able to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing). Must be age 21 or older. Must have no prior criminal record. Must possess valid Alabama Driver’s License. Must be willing to obtain APOST certification and pass a mental evaluation.

Education:                    High School Diploma or equivalent
