Lauderdale County 911 is seeking qualified individuals to join our team of dedicated 911 Telecommunicators and we need responsible and motivated people with a passion to serve others. This exciting career will provide you this opportunity and will allow you to help others far beyond what most people will ever experience. As a 911 Telecommunicator you will answer 911 emergency calls and process them using a computer aided dispatch (CAD) system with integrated location and mapping systems to assist in locating the 911 caller.
Extensive training is provided online, in the classroom and on-the-job. Your assigned trainer/mentor will guide and teach you the intricate components of 911, from call-taking techniques, equipment usage, how to manage stressful callers and emotional situations. Their goal is to help you become a successful 911 Telecommunicator.
A successful 911 Telecommunicator serves as the vital link between the public in need of assistance and the response of emergency services, with the objective of keeping all participants safe.
Salary: $14.55 per hour training

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma/Equivalent, 19 years or older, pass background check, pre-employment drug screen, flexible schedule, 12-hour shifts, valid driver’s license.
