Job Title: Animal Control Officer
Salary: $31,000.00 (with Benefits)
Position Description: The primary duty is impoundment and transportation of various types of animals to the animal control facility, to include unwanted, stray, sick diseased, injured and vicious animals. The officer is to educate the public about the responsibility for enforcing animal cruelty laws in the county. Complete job description available in the Human Resource Department.
Requirements: Ability to apprehend various types of animals, including some of a vicious nature.Considerable knowledge of Lauderdale County. Ability to do strenuous outside work. Willing to work overtime and weekends.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
